    (based on Psalm 91)

Cross:   Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -- Isaiah 40:30-32

Invitatory Bead:   Oh God, who among the other miracles of Your power, have given the victory of martyrdom, grant, we beseech You, that we, who are celebrating the heavenly Blessed Barbara, Your Virgin and Martyr, may by her example draw nearer to you.

Cruciform Bead:   He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. -- Psalm 91:1

    Week Beads:  Psalm 91:2-8
1st:   I will say of the LORD , "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
2nd:   Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
3rd:   He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
4th:   You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
5th:   nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
6th:   A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
7th:   You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

Exit Cross:   Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. -- John 14:27
